Police Investigate Intellectual Actor Behind The Attack On The Jakarta Metro Police

North Jakarta Metro Police arrested 70 people who were seen in the attack at their office on Monday, September 1, 2025.

The attack was carried out on Saturday, August 30 until last Sunday, August 31, 2025.

"Most of those arrested are teenagers," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Erick Frendriz.

Police found a number of evidences such as fragments of Molotov cocktails, stones, firecrackers and other evidence.

According to the investigation, these dozens of people are mostly residents of DKI Jakarta. Kombes Erick said that currently his party is still carrying out the investigation process.

All of the perpetrators are currently being held at the North Jakarta Metro Police and are undergoing examination.

"We are still conducting a case related to this criminal act," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the intellectual actors behind this action, the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief stated that he was still investigating whether this action was organized or if someone was driving it.

"We are still investigating and investigating who played a role in making this action happen," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the North Jakarta Metro Police (Jakut) was the target of an unknown mass attack on Saturday, August 30, 2025, tonight.

The crowd directed firecrackers and Molotov cocktails to the police headquarters many times. The Molotov cocktail loop entered the area of the Police Headquarters yard where several Sabhara members were on guard.
