Twelve Letters tells the story of a journey between Tang Yi Xun (Zhou Yi Ran) and Ye Hai Tang (Wang Ying Lu). They are a couple who love each other and live a story together.

When Hai Tang disappeared for no reason, Yi Xun was devastated to find a letter in the ballot box. He tried to reply to the letter.

Yi Xun was shocked when he discovered the fact that he and Hai Tang were separated by time and distance and they were simply connected by letter.

Passing 35 years, they tried to connect with 12 letters that were only found through the ballot boxes. They are looking for ways to find each other.

The journey is not easy because they have to face challenges that involve feelings and destiny in life.
