Bali DPRD Is Strictly Guarded After Riots, WFH Council Members
DENPASAR - The Bali DPRD Office is closely guarded by joint police personnel, the TNI to the Satpol PP after the demonstration last weekend.
Chairman of the Bali DPRD Dewa Made Mahayadnya alias Dewa Jack said the security conditions had not been conducive so the plenary meeting had to be postponed. Members of the council also work from home (WFH).
"Today work from home. Only the chairman is on standby at the council building. We are just on standby. After all, this is the aspiration. In our council building is on standby. That's why we have postponed all existing activities," said Dewa Jack at Renon Square, Monday, September 1.
If there is a further demonstration at the Bali DPRD, his party will receive representatives of the masses.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Council (Sekwan) of the Bali DPRD, I Ketut Nayaka, said that 90 joint forces were deployed to guard the Bali DPRD.
"We have almost 90 personnel on guard. Our employees also remain in the office and cannot take a day off. Unless there is other information, we ask for backup again," he said.
Previously, demonstrations ended in chaos at the Bali Police Headquarters. The crowd forced to break down the gate of the Bali Police.
Chaos also occurred in the Bali DPRD building. The council office was thrown by the crowd with stones, on Saturday (30/8).
