2 Brimob Pelindas Affan Kurniawan, Kompol Kosmas-Bripka Rohmat Tried Wednesday-Thursday This Week

JAKARTA - Two members of Brimob, Kompol Kosmas and Bripka Rohmat, were categorized as serious violations related to the incident of the death of an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol), Affan Kurniawan, due to being run over by a tactical vehicle (rantis). They will undergo a trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) on Wednesday and Thursday.

"The trial is for the heavy category on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 for the alleged singer of Kompol K and Thursday, September 4, for the alleged investigator Bripka R," said Karo Supervision and Development of the Profession of Propam Polri, Brigadier General Agus Wijayanto to reporters, Monday, September 1.

The KKEP trial for the two Brimob members was held after the examination and filing process was completed.

Meanwhile, the other five Brimob members who are included in the category of moderate violations, namely Aipda M. Rohyani, Brigadier Danang, First Brigadier Mardin, Saba Jana Edi, and Baraka Yohanes David will also undergo a KKEP trial.

However, regarding the implementation of the trial for the five alleged violators, it has not been conveyed. It was only said that the implementation was after the trial of Kompol Kosmas and Bripka Rohmat.

"As for the medium category later after Wednesday and Thursday, and the process is ongoing," said Agus.

In the series of cases of Affan Kurniawan's prosecution, Kompol Kosmas and Bripka Rohmat were known to be categorized as serious violations. Thus, they are threatened with dismissal.

"Untuk kategori pelanggan berat dapat dituntut ancamannya adalah PTDH," sebutnya.

In a series of accident incidents, Kompol Kosmas was in the front passenger seat or next to the driver. Meanwhile, Bripka Rohmat was driving a tactical vehicle (rantis).
