Deactivated To Become A Member Of The DPR, Sahroni Until Uya Kuya Still Gets A Salary
JAKARTA - A number of DPR members have been disabled by their respective parties because it sparked the anger of the community which led to a demonstration in the past week. Among them are members of the DPR from PAN, Eko Hendro Purnomo (Eko Patrio) and Surya Utama (Uya Kuya), members of the DPR from NasDem Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach, as well as Deputy Speaker of the DPR from Golkar Adies Kadir.
So, will they be deactivated as members of the DPR not receive a salary?
Chairman of the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI, Said Abdullah, explained that the term non-active members of the DPR are not regulated in the rules and regulations of the MPR, DPR and DPD RI (UU MD3).
So technically, they still get salaries and allowances as members of the council.
"Both the rules and the MD3 Law do not recognize the term inactive. (Technically, ed) From that aspect, you will receive a salary," said Said Abdullah at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 1.
Nevertheless, Said respects the decisions issued by each party. The rest, said Said, had better explanations for these parties.
"But I respect the decisions taken by NasDem, PAN, Golkar. And the question should be returned to the three parties. So that? My morality does not go beyond that. And it can't be," he continued.
Said said that the issue of the salaries of members of the DPR is no longer the domain of Banggar but is under the authority of the Ministry / Agency.

"It's not in Banggar anymore. Banggar has decided. Now when I decide, it's in the implementing department. The implementation is not Banggar. If it's asked to Banggar, this is already in their respective Ministries/Institutions," said the PDIP legislator.
