COVID-19 Update As Of May 11: New Cases 5,021, Suspek Reaches 87,743

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health) released additional positive cases of the latest COVID-19 as of today. A total of 75,416 specimens were examined there were 5,592 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was found in Indonesia reached 1,723,596 and active cases of 95,924," as quoted from the Ministry of Health data, Monday, May 10.

Cases recovered today increased by 5,592 cases, bringing the total to 1,580,207 people cured. Then, the number of positive confirmation cases that died increased by 247 people and a total of 27,465 people.

The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 1,373 cases and a total of 293,965 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 540 new cases with a total of 188,605 cases. DKI Jakarta has 406 new cases and a total of 416,747 cases. Then, East Java has 257 new cases and a total of 150,364 cases.

The province with the most cured cases today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,073 cases recovered. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 781 cases recovered, DKI Jakarta with an increase of 667 cases recovered, and Riau with an increase of 527 cases cured.

In addition, the number of specimens examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 15,326,626. With details, RT PCR totals 13,667,183 specimens, TCM 175,208 specimens, and antigens 1,484,235 specimens.

"The positive result per number of specimens examined or positivity rate this week was 16.99 percent," he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspek cases, it is recorded at 87,743 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Currently, there are 13,615,313 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 8,870,424 second dose vaccinations. Meanwhile, the total vaccination target of phase 1 and 2 reached 40,349,051 people.
