Gegana Police Headquarters In Senen, Central Jakarta 'After' Burns And Imprisoned By Masses

JAKARTA - The Geganadi Kramat Raya Headquarters Building, Senen, Central Jakarta caught fire on Sunday afternoon, August 31. From VOI.id's observation, the flames were seen emerging from the main building on the front at around 16.30 WIB. A puff of black smoke enveloped the area.

As of the afternoon, there were no fire engines at the location. Previously, a number of tactical vehicles (Rantis) and buses belonging to the police parked in front of the Gegana Headquarters were burned down.

The location of the fire was crowded with people who looted iron from the carcass of a burning car when there was traffic jams from the direction of Matraman to Senen and vice versa.

Now, the location has been secured by members of the TNI-Polri. It is known that since Friday, August 29, Gegana's headquarters in Senen has become the target of the masses. Police equipment 'expleted' was looted by the masses.
