TikTok Users Will Be Able To Send Voice Messages, Videos, And Images In DM
JAKARTA - TikTok will present a new feature that allows users to send voice messages and share up to nine images or videos in the Direct Message (DM) chat.
In a statement received by TechCrunch, TikTok said that this new capability makes the experience of sending messages on its platform more in line with other popular social applications and services.
This new voice note feature, which will be rolled out in the next few weeks, allows users to be able to record and send audio messages up to 60 seconds long.
The launch of this feature comes later, when compared to services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Apple Messages that have already offered these capabilities through DM.

In addition, to share photos and videos, users can take photos or videos with their camera or select one of the files from the camera roller to share with other people. They can also edit content before sending it.
For the sake of security, users cannot send images or videos as an initial message request. For example, if someone sends a message to you for the first time, they can't send photos or videos that they take themselves. Instead, they can only share content that already exists on TikTok.
Not to forget, when someone chooses to send photos or videos, TikTok will remind users to protect privacy and pay attention to who they are sending the content to.
