Alleged Corruption Of Maternity Insurance Fund In East Barito Rises To Investigation
JAKARTA - The Head of The State Prosecutor's Office of East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, Daniel Panannangan confirmed the alleged corruption of the Maternity Guarantee fund (Jampersal) in fiscal year 2018 in the local area has nailed the investigation stage.
"The stage is already in the investigation stage, but has not determined the suspect," said Daniel accompanied by Kasi Pidsus Kejari Barito Timur (Bartim) Angga Wijaya in Tamiang Layang, reported antara, Tuesday, May 11.
According to him, the state's losses in the alleged corruption of Jampersal reached Rp150 million and a number of witnesses have been questioned. Prosecutors will deepen the involvement of persons in the misuse of Jampersal's funds.
Bartim district received nonphysical DAK funds of Rp9.9 billion which is divided into two types, namely Rp7.8 billion for Health Operational Assistance (BOK) and Rp2.1 billion for Jampersal funds.
The funds are allocated to finance the operation of national priority program activities in the field of health that become regional affairs, in order to improve access and quality of health services in the region.
In Bartim Regency there are 11 puskemas and eight birth waiting houses (RTK) spread across 10 subdistricts in Bartim. Allegations of corruption exist in its management that does not comply with the technical guidelines for the implementation of Jampersal.
Technical guidelines for the use of non-physical DAK in the health sector in fiscal year 2018 are regulated through Permenkes RI No. 61 of 2017 and amended through Decree No. 43 of 2018.
The purpose of jampersal program is to improve access to health services for pregnant women, maternity mothers and mothers, newborns, as well as high risk and complications to competent health care facilities.
"Later we will tell you if everything is clear, which surely prosecutors are committed to thoroughly investigate the case of alleged corruption that has been handled," said Daniel.
He also confirmed the handling of the alleged corruption case handled by the prosecutor continues to process, and afterwards investigators can only assign suspects.
