Fuel For Land, Sea And Air Transportation In Bali Guaranteed Safe
JAKARTA - The supply and distribution of fuel oil (BBM) for the land, sea, and air transportation sectors on the island of Bali is ensured to run safely and smoothly. This was stated by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).
Member of the BPH Migas Committee Basuki Trikora Putra in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday stated that while monitoring the Manggis Integrated Terminal (IT), Karangasem, Bali, Thursday (28/8/2025), the smooth supply of fuel plays an important role in community mobility and supports economic growth in Bali Province.
BPH Migas continues to monitor so that the availability of fuel is adequate and all economic activities can run well.
"Bali is an international tourist destination and is already worldwide, so supporting energy needs, including fuel and aviation, must really be well available," said Basuki, who is familiarly called Tiko, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, August 30.
In addition to supply availability, according to him, BPH Migas also pays attention to the readiness of distribution facilities.
Tiko also emphasized the importance of ensuring that the fleet and crew of the tank car are in the best condition so that energy distribution is not disrupted.
"We also want to check the operation of the tank car as a fuel distribution tool to the distribution agency. This must be ensured, the condition of the tank car and tank car crew is in the best condition," he said.
BPH Migas also ensures that the fuel products circulating must comply with the specifications set by the government.
"Furthermore, this part of the supply chain is a product. Of course, it is the duty and responsibility of BPH Migas that the products sold to consumers have met the requirements, provisions, and specifications issued by the government," he said.
Meanwhile, Integrated Terminal Manager of Manggis Pertamina Patra Niaga Jon Kennedy explained that IT Manggis has a large tank capacity.
"The stock of fuel in Bali is safe. Our tank (BBM) is quite large and the tank capacity is quite large. One tank on average almost contains 10,000 kiloliters," he explained.

Monitoring of recommendation letters
On Friday (29/8/2025), BPH Migas continued monitoring to fishermen's public refueling stations (SPBUN) in Badung, Bali, to check the distribution of subsidized fuel and compensation for fishermen through a recommendation letter.
Tiko emphasized the importance of coordinating with local governments if a recommendation letter discrepancy was found.
"Distributors must be more careful, not to provide subsidized fuel quotas and compensation to users who do not comply with the provisions. Distributors must report to the relevant agencies if there are user consumers whose recommendation letters are not appropriate," explained Tiko.
BPH Migas also visited Ngurah Rai's Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) in Badung.
Tiko assessed that the availability of avtur in Bali is in good condition and needs to be maintained to support flight services.
"The condition of supply and distribution of avtur in Ngurah Rai AFT has gone quite well, and most importantly, operations here must remain conducive so that they can continue to provide flight services for the people in Bali," he added.
On this occasion, BPH Migas monitored the results of the trial of the implementation of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), which is a mixture of avtur and 2.5 percent of crude oil or used cooking oil (UCO) by Pelita Air airline with the Jakarta-Bali flight route.
Tiko said this shows Indonesia's commitment in the clean energy transition and reducing exhaust emissions.
"BPH Migas appreciates the results of this SAF product. This is an extraordinary achievement, so that in the future it can support the implementation of the use of SAF at certain airports in Indonesia," said Tiko.
In this monitoring, AFT Manager of Ngurah Rai I Komang Susilo Gosa, Sales Area Manager of Fuel Retail Bali Pertamina Patra Niaga Endo Eko Satryo, Sales Branch Manager of Fuel I Bali Pertamina Patra Niaga Azam Akbar Hawaii, and Sales Branch Manager of Fuel III Bali Pertamina Patra Niaga Made Bulun were also present.
