Jakarta Health Office Prepares Health Referral For Protest Victims, Ambulance Alerted
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Health Office (Dinkes) provides health referral treatment for victims of demonstrations to a number of health facilities (faskes) in Jakarta. The DKI Health Office has served at least 341 patients, with details of the number of patients diagnosed with 200 people and 141 hospital confirmations.
"We also refer these patients to a number of health facilities in Jakarta, both government and private hospitals," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Ani Ruspitawati, in Jakarta, on Saturday, September 30.
In addition to alerting health facilities, the DKI Jakarta Health Office also deployed ambulances and health workers to several points around the demonstration site. Ani explained that as many as 29 ambulances and one motorcycle ambulance, 8 doctors, 60 nurses, and 8 ambulance drivers were alerted during last night's demonstration, Friday, August 29.

The ambulance team is placed in a safe location to facilitate evacuation. The DKI Health Office has also prepared a nearest backup ambulance unit if needed additional personnel at the demonstration site.
In addition, 44 health centers are on standby 24 hours and 31 hospitals are ready to receive referrals for victims of demonstrations. "Yesterday afternoon, we also opened field emergency services to provide first aid to victims," he said.
"We will continue to strive to provide first aid and provide medical referrals for victims affected by demonstrations. Health workers in all health facilities are ready to serve optimally," Ani concluded.
