Three People Died In The Burning Incident Of The Makassar City DPRD Office

JAKARTA - Three people were reported dead and five others were injured because they were suspected of being trapped in a room when the masses burned the Makassar City DPRD Office on Friday, August 29 evening.

"A total of eight people were evacuated by the rescue team after the burning of the Makassar City DPRD Office, three of whom were declared dead suspected of being trapped in the room during the fire," said Acting Acting BPBD Makassar City M Fadli in Makassar, South Sulawesi, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 30.

Based on data, the three victims who died were Sarinawati (26), female, Makassar DPRD staff. The evacuation team was found charred and has been taken to Bayangkara Hospital.

Furthermore, Syaiful (43), a man who died at the Grestelina hospital in a burning condition. The victim is known to the Ujung Tanah District Staff. And Abay, a male member of the Makassar DPRD staff, died at the scene and was found charred. His body was referred to Bayangkara Hospital.

Meanwhile, two people were seriously injured, each Budi Haryati (30) a Makassar DPRD employee was referred to Primaya Hospital in a coma. Heriyanto (28), an employee of the Makassar DPRD, was referred to the Grestelina Hospital, seriously injured by jumping from the fourth floor of the South Sulawesi DPRD Office.

A moderately injured victim named Sahabuddin (45), an employee of the Makassar DPRD, was referred to Hermina Hospital, who was sick in the hip because he jumped from the 2nd floor during the fire.

Furthermore, Arif Rahman Hakim (28), an employee of the Makassar DPRD, was injured when he was hit by a stone and had been treated at Grestelina Hospital. And Agus Setiwawan (32), an employee of the Makassar DPRD, was sick on his back and has been treated at Hermina Hospital.

The joint evacuation team from BPBD, Damkarmat, Makassar City Health Office, Provincial Health Office and assisted by a team of potential SAR volunteers.
