Makassar DPRD Office Burned Down, Satpol PP Members Desperately Jumping From Building
JAKARTA - The Makassar City DPRD Office sold out after being burned by a mob that vented their frustration and instead became a spectacle for residents to see firsthand the incident on Jalan Andi Pangeran Pettarani, Makassar, South Sulawesi on Friday night.
Thousands of residents came down to see the people's representative office on fire. Some of them even cheered when the eruption came from parked cars slowly engulfed in flames.
It is not yet known how many vehicles were in the council office. From observations at that location, dozens of units were scorched by the red rooster.
So far, no fire fighting team has been at the scene to extinguish the fire. The fire seemed to get bigger and spread to the roof.
After the council office caught fire along with its contents, the masses moved to the South Sulawesi Provincial DPRD on Jalan Urip Sumoharjo. This action is not only students, but the public is seen participating to the location.
The current condition is still in a tense atmosphere, there are no police officers who usually guard against the masses. The TNI from the marine unit tried to reduce the emotional tension of the masses, discouraged it and preferred to wait for the situation to calm down.

Information was obtained, a member of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) who served at the Makassar DPRD office was reportedly seriously injured because he was desperate to jump during the fire. The name of the Satpol PP officer is not yet known but has now been handled by the hospital.
So far, no related party has provided information regarding the mass anarchist act of burning the council office. Apart from the Makassar DPRD Office being burned down, the South Sulawesi DPRD Office was almost burned by the masses because the TNI was chased away from the marine unit.
