U-21 Men's Volleyball World Championship Results: Indonesia Loses 1-3 Against Brazil

JAKARTA The U-21 Indonesian Men's Volleyball national team suffered a crushing defeat against Brazil U-21 in the classification match ranked 17-20 for the 2025 U-21 World Championships (FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship 2025).

Anwar Sadat's Garuda Muda squad was forced to admit the advantage of the opponent with a score of 1-3 (20-25, 27-25, 19-25, and 22-25) in Jiangmen, China, on Friday, August 25, 2025, evening WIB.

Tight combat occurred at the start of the first set so that a tight 3-3 position was created. However, after Brazil took the lead 6-3, Garuda Muda was no longer able to catch up.

In the second set, Indonesia tried to get up and managed to get away with a score of 23-21. Even though they still fought tightly, Muhammad Reyhan and colleagues finally equalized the score 1-1.

Brazil then immediately took the lead at the start of the third set, but the match was fierce again. However, the Samba Team was able to return to the lead with a fairly far margin of 14-10.

Brazil continues to increase its advantage to 16-13 and on the contrary, Indonesia has made several mistakes that actually benefit the opposing team. As a result, the Garuda Muda squad also gave up with a score of 19-25.

Indonesia also struggled to find ways to stem Brazil's attack on set four. Brazil defended well to stem attacks to ensure victory.

This result makes Indonesia then undergo a classification match to rank 19 against Thailand U-21. The clash will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Thailand must enter its 19th rank classification after losing against Canada U-21 with a tight score of 2-3 (25-18, 20-25, 23-25, 25-22, and 13-15).
