7 Brimob Members In The Rantis Lindas Ojol Langgar Code Of Ethics Case, Detained In Special Cells

JAKARTA - The National Police's Propam Division (Divpropam) stated that seven members of the Metro Jaya Police Satbrimob who were involved in a tactical vehicle (rantis) incident that hit an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol), were declared to have violated the police professional code of ethics.

"Against the seven people, it is certain that the suspects have been proven to have violated the police code of ethics," said the Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General Abdul Karim, Friday, August 29.

The seven members had the initials Kompol C, Aipda M, Bripka R, Brigadier B, Bripda M, Baraka Y, and Baraka J.

The decision was issued after the Divpropam carried out the initial case title with the Itwasum Polri, Divkum Polri, SDM Polri, and Head of Propam Korbrimob Polri.

For this determination, the seven members underwent special placements (patsus) in the Police Propam Division.

"For the next 20 days starting from August 29, 2025 to September 17, 2025," he said.

However, added Karim, if there is still a need for special equipment for examination, the time can be extended.

Currently, the process of examining and deepening the members is still ongoing in the Police Propam Division.

The Brimob rantis incident hit an ojol driver named Affan Kurniawan on Thursday (28/8) night, after various elements of society that held demonstrations around the parliament complex, Jakarta, were pushed back by the police.

As a result, riots occurred in various areas around the parliament complex, from Palmerah, Senayan, to Pejompongan. The random incident that hit the ojol driver was suspected to have occurred in the Pejompongan area.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo apologized directly to Affan Kurniawan's family at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Jakarta.

"We express our condolences and also apologize to the family of the deceased regarding the disaster that occurred," said the National Police Chief, Friday morning.
