JAKARTA - The Sarinah shopping center, Thamrin, Central Jakarta informed that it would close sooner at 16.00 WIB. This closure was carried out in response to the high tension of today's demonstrations around the Jakarta area.

"In connection with the current conditions and to avoid things that are not cold, Sarinah will close earlier today at 16.00 WIB for mutual comfort and safety," PT Sarinah (Persero) wrote on the official Instagram @ptsarinah.id, Friday, August 29.

Sarinah apologized for the decision taken. The Company confirmed that it would resume operations tomorrow.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for the understanding. See you tomorrow in Sarinah," he added.

For your information, the unity of online motorcycle taxis (ojol) continued today's demonstration centered at Brimob Kwitang Headquarters, Central Jakarta. This action follows the incident of an ojol driver who died as a result of being run over by a Brimob rantis car during an action at the DPR RI Building last night.

In addition to the unity of ojol, the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) also held a demonstration today. The demonstration will start from the FX Sudirman area, Central Jakarta.
