Shell And BP Fuel Is Rare, Bahlil Asks To Buy From Pertamina

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia invited BP-AKR and Shell Indonesia to supply fuel from PT Pertamina (Persero) to overcome the shortage of fuel supply. Just so you know, over the past week, Shell and BP gas stations have experienced supply vacancies in several types of fuel sold.

"If there are still lacking ones, please also buy them at Pertamina. Pertamina also has goods," he told the media crew, Friday, August 29.

Bahlil explained, this is also stated in the Presidential Decree (Keppres) which states that if private gas stations experience a shortage of supply or have not received an allocation according to the need to be able to buy Pertamina's supply.

"If there is something missing there, buy it at Pertamina. The Presidential Decree also says that the private sector has not received the allocation according to its needs, please buy it at Pertamina. Pertamina has a refinery," Bahlil explained.

The chairman of the Golkar Party said that PT Pertamina also has a refinery operated by the Pertamina International Refinery (KPI) so that the supply owned is sufficient to meet the needs of the community.

Bahlil further said that purchases from Pertamina could suppress fuel imports. The reason is, he as a technical ministry also helped maintain the balance of commodities imported from abroad. Bahlil also dismissed government issues that only prioritized Pertamina as a state-owned company.

"Because this is related to our import export balance sheet. We don't give favoritism. We give everything. But there must be a part that we must protect about the condition of our country," he said.
