George Clooney's New Film Gets 9 Minutes Standing Ovation At The Venice Film Festival

JAKARTA - George Clooney's new film, Jay Kelly received a lively welcome from the public during his inaugural broadcast at the Venice Film Festival. The actor is known to have been absent from the press conference due to sinus.

Jay Kelly tells the story of the star of the same name on his journey through Europe with his manager, Adam Sandler. The film also stars Laura Dern, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, total Keach, Riley Gough, Patrick Wilson, Jim Broadbent, Eve Hewson, Lenny Henry, and Isla Fisher.

The film directed by Noah Baumbach received appreciation after the broadcast took place at the Sala Grande building. Launching Variety, the audience gave a standing opportunity for 8.5 minutes.

Adam Sandler, Noah Baumbach stood up to welcome the applause at the same time as George Clooney kissing his wife, Amal who was standing behind him.

George Clooney has arrived in Venice since the start of this week to promote Jay Kelly but a day before the press conference, his representative announced the actor had to rest.

"The fire was diagnosed with sinus infection and under the doctor's rules to stop all activities," his representative said on Thursday, August 28.

When the press conference took place, Noah Baumbach joked about George Clooney's absence from the media.

Even movie stars can get sick, said Noah Baumbach.

Jay Kelly's film is planned to hit theaters on a limited basis before its global release on Netflix in December.
