Viral Sealing In Kedungwaringin, Traffic Police: There Are Other Sealing Posts
JAKARTA - Traffic Director of Polda Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said deliberately apply discretion for travelers at the Kedungwaringin sealing post, Bekasi Regency, West Java. They were escaped from the sealing point because the travelers did not want to turn the vehicle around to potentially cause a crowd.
"When carrying out the sealing of many people who still insist to be able to go home, to be able to escape they also do not want us to turn around so that then cause a crowd that is precisely dangerous for public health itself", Sambodo told reporters, Tuesday, May 11.
Sambodo said it is not uncommon for travelers to bring their infant children. For those reasons, the police finally applied discretion to allow the rate of travelers.
"After all, many travelers from those who bring baby children and so on. Therefore we do discretion by the police to then gradually open the sealing so that they can escape just to break up the crowd", Sambodo said.
But Sambodo insists that discretion does not mean ignoring the government's ruling on the ban on travelers. The travelers who escaped in Kedungwaringin according to him had to pass through other sealing posts.
"Anyway then not far from Kedungwaringin not until one KM from there there is a sealing post-Tanjung Pura in Karawang. Escaped from Kawang to Purwakarta, entered Subang, entered Indramayu there was another sealing post", said Sambodo.
"Even to any city when the travelers enter it enters a certain city, there must be a sealing. That's why we carry out a layered sealing with 381 points on the Java island", continued Sambodo.
Previously reported, Jakarta Metro Police will tighten the sealing scheme related to the ban on homecoming. This tightening is the aftermath of the viral video of the polluters who managed to escape from the sealing post in the Kedungwaringin area.
"We will add from the TNI-Police we have already met we will increase the strength. Add more personnel", Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Chief Kombes Yusri Yunus told reporters on Monday, May 10.
In addition to the addition of personnel, in this tightening, continued Yusri, there will be a scheme to add a sealing post every few kilometers. That is, the riders will be checked repeatedly.
"So every entry every 3 kilometers there will be a sealing or per 5 kilometers there is a sealing blocked until later return", said Yusri.
