Pramono Ensures Funeral Facilitation for Affan Kurniawan, Ojol Driver Killed by a Brimob Vehicle

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung confirmed that the Jakarta Provincial Government will provide full assistance with the funeral arrangements for Affan Kurniawan, an online motorcycle taxi driver who was killed after being struck by a Brimob tactical vehicle on Thursday evening, August 29th.

Pramono made this statement while paying his respects at Affan's funeral home in the Menteng area of ​​Central Jakarta. Pramono acknowledged that the Jakarta Provincial Government is providing full assistance in handling Affan's passing to ease the burden on his family.

"We are committed to providing full assistance so that the family is not burdened. We will facilitate the funeral arrangements and burial as best we can," Pramono said at the funeral home on Friday, August 29th.

While visiting the funeral home, Pramono expressed his condolences to Affan's father and family, who wept over his body. Pramono tried to comfort the family, but he himself could not hold back his tears.

"Our deepest condolences on the passing of our brother, Affan Kurniawan Bin Zulkifli. May Allah SWT widen his grave and grant him a place in the best paradise. God willing, we are here to provide protection and support to the bereaved family," said Pramono.

The victim, Affan Kurniawan, was struck and run over by a National Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) vehicle in the Pejompongan area, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on the evening of Thursday, August 28th.

The Brimob vehicle was part of the security forces at the DPR RI Building on Thursday, August 28th, which resulted in riots in several locations in Jakarta.
