Aldila Sutjiadi Dispelled In The First Round Of The US Open Women's Doubles 2025

JAKARTA - Indonesian tennis player, Aldila Sutjiadi, who was paired with Ukrainian tennis player, Nadiia Kichenok, was stopped in the first round of the US Open 2025 women's doubles, Thursday, August 28, 2025, local time or Friday, August 29, 2025 WIB.

Aldila/Nadiia are predicted to be the top seeded pair Berniakova (Rep. Czech) and Taylor Townsend (United States). They were forced to give up with a score of 5-7 and 2-6.

In a match that lasted 1 hour 36 minutes, Aldila / Nadiia played well in the first set. They managed to secure the first game with ace - which was recorded more than the overall opponent, which was three to one.

The first set was tight from the start with Siniakova/Townsend equalizing. Then, the two pairs chased each other after numbers.

Aldila/Nadiia took over the ninth game to take the 5-4 lead, but the opponent won three games to win the first set.

Aldila/Nadiia tried to detain Siniakova/Townsend when the position was 2-3 in the second set when the opponent carried out a backhand unified error - far more recorded, namely 22 compared to 17 mistakes made by Aldila/Nadiia.

However, Siniakova/Townsend immediately dominated after that until finally closing the match with a backhand winner to win.

The result closed Aldila's appearance in the Grand Slam this season. The 30-year-old was forced to withdraw at the early Grand Slam, the Australian Open 2025, after experiencing sudden denial or deafness which forced him to undergo treatment and recovery.

Aldila kemudian kembali ke turnamen besar di Indian Wells pada Maret 2025, setelah meraih gelar ITF W35 Arcade di California, Amerika Serikat, bersama rekan negaranya Janice Tjen pada akhir Februari 2025.

The French Open (Roland Garros) 2025 will be the first Grand Slam this season for Aldila. Paired with his old Japanese partner, Miyu Kato, Aldila lost in the first round.

Aldila achieved better results in Wimbeldon 2025. He and Japanese tennis player, Eri Hozumi, reached the second round of the grass field Grand Slam.

Aldila also fell in the Wimbledon 2025 mixed doubles with Robert Totalway, but they withdrew in the second half because the United States player was injured and had to focus on his single game.
