Rantis Lindas Ojol To Death, This Is A List Of Seven Brimobs Secured

The Head of the Propam Polri Division, Inspector General Abdul Karim, stated that seven Brimob members were arrested in connection with the tragic incident of the death of an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) as a result of being run over by a tactical vehicle (rantis) by the police.

Currently, the seven Brimob members are undergoing intensive examinations conducted by the National Police Propam and Propam KorBrimob.

"So the first initials are the rank of Kompol C, Aipda M, Bripka R, Brigadier D, Bripda M, Baraka Y, and Baraka J," Karim told reporters quoted on Friday, August 29.

However, it has not been conveyed in detail about the results of the examination. Including, who is aware of the rantis.

However, it was stated that the seven Brimob members were in the rantis during the incident that killed an ojol named Affan Kurniawan.

"We are still investigating, who is driving, who is this one, we are still investigating. We can't know for sure who it is," he said.

"What is clear is that these seven people are in one vehicle. We are exploring how this role is still in the context of being investigated," continued Karim.

Previously, the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that he would handle all problems one by one following the chaos in the demonstration in front of the DPR Building which resulted in the incident of an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) being run over by a police tactical vehicle (rantis).

"Later we will discuss it. What is clear is that we will handle everything one by one," said General Listyo when meeting the victim's family at RSCM Jakarta, Friday.

Regarding the problem of the death of an ojol driver who was run over by a rantis vehicle, Listyo said, his party would follow up on the incident well.

Likewise, he said, the problem of chaos that occurred at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters Kwitang, everything will be handled, so that everything can be maintained.

"I think the process will always be there. What is clear is that we will continue to evaluate it," he said.
