Apple Will Open New Apple Developer Academy In Jakarta Next Year

JAKARTA - Apple announced that it will open its fifth Apple Developer Academy infrastructure, in Thamrin, Jakarta, in 2026, as part of Apple's domestic investment commitment.

In Indonesia, Apple's entire academy and institute will support nearly 1,000 students each year, starting in 2026. Apple provides students with skills in coding, design, marketing, and much more.

"Indonesia has a rapidly growing community of developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators, and we are excited to further strengthen our relationship here," said Lisa Jackson, Apple's Vice President of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives in an official statement.

Through the Apple Developer Academy, the tech giant is committed to accompanying Indonesia's next generation of developers to start new businesses, build great apps, and create opportunities in various cutting-edge fields.

In July 2025, the Game Development Institute in Batam started its first program with a duration of one year, which provides students with the opportunity to develop games in the Apple ecosystem.

Starting in 2026, the Developer Institute, which focuses on artificial intelligence in Surabaya and development operations in Tangerang, will help students learn how to build, train, and implement AI models and machine learning across Apple devices, from professionals.

The Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, expressed his appreciation for the sustainability of the Apple Developer Academy program in Indonesia.

This announcement not only marks Apple's investment progress in innovation in Indonesia, but also opens up greater opportunities for the growth of innovation in the country. We look forward to the partnership that continues with Apple in Indonesia," said Agus.
