Man In Ojol Jacket Killed By A Brimob Rantis Car In Tanah Abang When Police Chase Mass Demonstration

JAKARTA - An online motorcycle taxi (ojol) man died after being hit and his body was dragged into the right front wheel of a rantis car that reads BRIMOB in the Jalan Pemberianan Raya area, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 28, 2025, evening.

According to a VOI source, the victim was identified as Moh. Umar Amarudin (30) from Cikidang, West Java.

"It's true, the information is that he died at the Pelni hospital," said a VOI source.

The victim was an ojol puller who was passing at the scene. This incident drew criticism from a number of Ojol attractors throughout Indonesia.
