Here's How To Activate Dormant Account Via The BRImo Application

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) has now made it easier for customers to be able to digitally reactivate their (inactive) threat accounts through BRImo super apps.

BRI Corporate Secretary Agustya Hendy Bernadi explained, with this new feature, the reactivation process can be carried out quickly, free of charge, and without a deposit obligation with a certain nominal value.

"For customers who are more comfortable coming directly, the reactivation service for Dormant accounts is also available at the nearest BRI office by bringing identity documents and proof of account ownership. After that, customers only need to make transactions, both cash deposits, book transfers, and cash withdrawals to reactivate the account," Agustya said, Thursday, August 28.

If you have a domestic status, he continued, the account can still accept transfer transactions. However, this does not make the account status active. Domestic accounts cannot be used by customers for slashing transactions such as cash withdrawals, transfers, or purchases at merchants. For this reason, it is necessary to reactivate the Dormant account, either directly at BRImo or in BRI work units.

Meanwhile, in preventing accounts from becoming domestic, customers are advised to make transactions regularly, both through BRImo super apps and other BRI service channels that have provided solutions for various financial needs.

Related to this, BRI continues to educate customers to use banking services appropriately and safely, including by continuing to actively transact and monitor their accounts, and not abusing accounts for unlawful purposes.

Even though the accounts are domestic, BRI ensures that customer funds and accounts remain safe. Even so, customers are expected to always update contact data so that they can receive notifications on time and maintain communication with the bank," concluded Hendy.

How To Re-enable Dormant Accounts (Inactive)

1.Through Super Apps BRImo (online)

a.Login to BRImo (minimal version 2.87.0)

b. On the dashboard Home, select the menu All Your Savings

c. Select an account with an 'Inactive Signing' description, and Select 'Enable Now'.

d. Next, enter the PIN to start the activation process, then enter the OTP code for data verification.

e. Follow instructions to scan ID cards and face verification as part of a series of e-KYC processes.

f.After the e-KYC verification process is successful, customers can continue to activate the account by top up the balance to the account to reactivate it.

g. Once the transaction is successful, the account will be active again.

2. If you don't have BRImo, the customer simply goes to the nearest BRI Branch Office with identification documents and proof of account ownership.
