Swiss President Discusses Peace And Reconstruction With Ukrainian PM

JAKARTA - Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter and Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko discussed the peace and reconstruction process in Ukraine during talks in Bern.

The two countries announced 12 projects that Swiss companies will run and are backed by the Swiss government as part of Ukraine's reconstruction of infrastructure, public transportation, health, and mine clearance.

Reported by Reuters on Thursday, August 28, selected companies include Geberit, which plans to build sanitation facilities, Divario, which will build prefabricated houses, and Roche Diagnostics, which will build medical laboratories.

The Swiss government provides around 100 million Swiss francs ($124.70 million) to support these companies.
