Public Facilities Damaged Due To Demo In DPR, Pramono: Government Responsibility
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he had no problem with the damage to a number of public facilities due to the demonstration in front of the DPR building on August 25, as well as other potential damage to the August 28 demonstration.
It is known, due to the action last August 25, the road separator and the DKI Provincial Government's surveillance camera (CCTV) were damaged by the demonstrators.
Pramono said it was the responsibility of the DKI Provincial Government to improve all public facilities despite clashes between the masses and the authorities.
"We will fix it immediately. Because it is the responsibility of the Jakarta government whatever, even though the Jakarta government did not exist when the incident occurred, it remains the responsibility of the Jakarta government to immediately improve it," said Pramono at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 28.
Not only that, Pramono said that the DKI Provincial Government will also be on standby to clean up the garbage left over from organizing the demonstration after it ends.
"Yesterday when the demonstration was on the 25th, the next day it would not last up to 1-2 hours, it was clean," said Pramono.
On that occasion, Pramono has also asked schools in Jakarta to closely monitor the presence of his students today.
Schools in Jakarta, Pramono asked, to make efforts so that his students do not participate in the August 28 demonstration in front of the DPR RI building today.
"I have asked Mrs. Nahdiana (Head of Disdik DKI) to communicate with all schools in Jakarta with school principals and for some of course ask schools to provide strict supervision not to participate in the demonstrations that have occurred in the last few days," said Pramono.
The instructions to the principal in Jakarta, especially those located around the demonstration area, were carried out by reflecting on the action last August 25.
Where, the action that led to clashes between the masses and the authorities last Monday involved many students and some schools did not anticipate it first.
