Named A Bokar Corruption Suspect, Former Tabalong Regent Of South Kalimantan Falls Sick Taken To RSUD H Badaruddin

The Prosecutor's Office has named the former Tabalong Regent with the initials AS (65) as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the cooperation of rubber processed materials (Bokar). The state loss due to this rasuah case was around Rp. 1.8 billion.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Tabalong District Attorney (Kejari), M Fadhil, said that the determination of the suspect against the US was carried out after the person concerned underwent examination as a witness.

"We have named AS a suspect and detained him from August 27, 2025, to the next 20 days," said Fadhil in Tabalong, South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan), Thursday, August 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

However, due to health reasons, the former Regent of Tabalong for two periods had to undergo treatment at the Emergency Installation at RSUD H Badaruddin Kasim Tanjung on Thursday, August 28, accompanied by a medical team and Tabalong Kejari investigators.

From Wednesday at around 14.00 WITA to Thursday morning at 02.00 WITA, Tabalong Kejari investigators examined AS as witnesses, then the person concerned was taken to the hospital for medical observation.

Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Tabalong Kejari Andi Hamzah Kusumaatmaja confirmed that the determination of the suspect was based on two valid pieces of evidence according to the results of the investigation.

"The results of the investigation show that AS is suspected of actively influencing several parties so that Bokar's cooperation in 2019 between the Tabalong Regency Government and Perumda Tabalong Jaya Persada," explained Andi.

For his actions, the suspect AS is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) junto Article 18 junto Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 3 junto Article 18 junto Article 55.

Previously, the Tabalong Kejari had named two other suspects in a similar case, namely A as Director of Perumda Tabalong Jaya Persada and J as Director of PT Exclusive Baru.

In a series of investigations, the Tabalong Kejari examined 50 witnesses, including the Head of the Tabalong HA DPPKAD, the Bokar Management and Processing Unit, rubber processing vendors, rubber buyers companies, and former Perumda employees related to the case.
