Raided By Labor Masses, Secretariat General Of The House Of Representatives Implements WFH And No Working Meetings
The Secretariat General (Setjen) of the DPR issued a circular urging ASN employees to experts (TA) to work from home (WFH) or work from home. This circular was issued in line with demonstrations carried out by workers simultaneously in all regions and centered around the Parliament complex.
The circular letter numbered 14/SE-SEKJEN/2025 was signed by the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar on Wednesday, August 27, yesterday.
"In connection with the information regarding demonstrations around the DPR building on Thursday, August 28, 2025, which has the potential to cause traffic density, limited access to office areas, as well as potential disturbances to the smoothness of official activities, anticipatory steps are needed to ensure the continuity of organizational duties and functions, as well as minimize the risk of obstacles arising due to demonstrations, so it is necessary to issue a circular letter from the Secretary General of the DPR RI regarding adjustments to the division of work from office (WFO) and work from home (WFJ) systems on Thursday, August 28, 2025 for employees of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI," said the preliminary circular letter. Secretary General of the DPR RI, which circulated Thursday, August 28.
According to information, the WFH policy applies to State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and Experts within the scope of the DPR RI. However, all commission meeting activities today were abolished.
"Employees who violate the provisions of attendance will be followed up in the form of cutting performance allowances, and imposing disciplinary penalties in accordance with Ministerial Regulation No. 94 of 2021," concluded the circular.

As is known, the President of the Labor Party as well as the President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI), Said Iqbal, said that labor demonstrations in the Jabodetabek area would be centered in front of the DPR building. Said said that there would be 10 thousand workers who will participate in this August 28 demonstration.
