There Is A Labor Demonstration In Front Of The DPR Building, 4 KRL Stations Are Strictly Guarded
JAKARTA - KAI Commuter took anticipatory steps amid reports of a demonstration that will occur again in front of the DPR RI building today, Thursday, August 28. At least, four Commuter Line KRL stations will be closely guarded during the demonstration.
VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Joni Martinus explained, his party will increase the number of security officers to 154 people to be alerted at these stations.
The details, at Tanah Abang Station as many as 50 personnel, Palmerah Station as many as 53 personnel, Kebayoran Station 24 personnel, and Karet Station as many as 27 personnel.
"KAI Commuter will add or thicken security officers at stations located around the location of the plan to convey the aspirations of the masses," Joni said in his statement, Thursday, August 28.
The addition of security personnel consists of internal KAI Commuter officers as well as elements of the TNI/Polri. In addition to security officers, KAI Commuter has also alerted or deployed post officers from all KAI Commuter office employees to assist user services in the station area.
Joni emphasized that this safeguard was carried out so that the community using the Commuter Line remained safe and comfortable in mobility.

In addition, KAI Commuter will also engineer a Commuter Line travel schedule in the afternoon to evening situationally according to conditions across. KAI Commuter will focus on that time to unravel the user's density, especially on the Commuter Line Rangkasbitung service.
"All Commuter Line users are advised to look for alternative departure stations and other arrivals besides Palmerah Station. For users to Serpong/Rangkasbitung, they can go up and down at Kebayoran Station. Meanwhile, users to Cikarang, Bogor, and Tangerang, can go up and down at Karet Station," he explained.
On the other hand, PT Kereta Api Indonesia or KAI (Persero) Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta also stopped 19 long-distance trains (KAJJ) departing from and to Gambir Station at Jatinegara Station to anticipate traffic jams due to demonstrations in the DPR.
"The engineering of this operating pattern is temporary and applies to train travel on Thursday, August 28, 2025. That way, people have a choice of a closer and strategic departure point, especially for those from eastern Jakarta," said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko.
