Huawei Mate XTs Launch Soon, This Is The Initial Appearance Of The Latest Tri-Lipat Phone

JAKARTA - Huawei will certainly launch its newest foldable device, the Huawei Mate XTs, on September 4, 2025, just a day before the 2025 IFA event begins and a few days before Apple's iPhone 17 launch.

The chairman of Huawei Consumer Business, Richard Yu, has even shown off this device in a video showing white variants and stylus support (most likely M-Pencil).

Huawei is not a new player in the world of foldable phones. However, due to sanctions from the US government, Huawei lost access to critical markets and technologies. Instead of continuing to face these obstacles, Huawei chose a different path by creating a phone with a triple-fold screen, a bold move that made the XT Mate previously so attractive.

Now, his successor, the Huawei Mate XTs, is ready to launch. This information came from a tweet on platform X by Abhishek Yadav, which shared a teaser poster for the launch of Mate XTs with its official date: September 4.

Interestingly, we may not have to wait until the launch date to see this device. Richard Yu himself has already shown off Mate XTs in a video on Weibo. In the video, white phones can be seen used with stylus showing that this device supports digital pen input.

Specifications Still Mysterious

Unfortunately, until now, there have been no leaks of specifications from Mate XTs. However, given Huawei's condition of not being able to use the Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset, it is likely that this device will use a domestically made chipset developed with SMIC, a semiconductor manufacturer from China.

The good news is that Huawei Mate XTs is rumored to be coming at a more affordable price than its predecessor. If the Mate XT is launched at a price close to 3,000 US dollars, the Mate XTs is said to be sold for around 2,000 US dollars. While still relatively expensive, this is a significant price drop for triple flagship devices.

Huawei was quite surprising to the market when it launched Mate XT, the first phone with three folding screens. At that time, most foldable phones only appeared in horizontal (such as tablets) or vertical (such as flips) folds. Triplefolds make Mate XT a wider screen with a more natural and convenient aspect ratio to watch video different from the strange ratio to the initial generation foldable overboxes.

Huawei Mate XTs is ready to be a new spotlight in the world of foldable phones. With innovative designs, more affordable prices, and self-tech approaches due to sanctions, Huawei seems to want to show that they can still compete on the global stage even without the support of technology from the US.

The launch will take place on September 4, 2025, the day before IFA 2025 and a few days before the iPhone 17 is released. Huawei seems to want to steal the public's attention before Apple dominates the news.
