ACTION Enters The Perumus Team For Revision Of The Copyright Law
JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Composite Association (AKSI) is one of the parties invited to attend the Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission XIII of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, August 27.
Piyu as the Chair of ACTION said the RDP was held to determine the formulating team for the revision of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright (UU Hak Cipta).
"This was the initial meeting to determine the formulating team for the revision of the Copyright Law," said Piyu, met after the RDP in Senayan, South Jakarta, Wednesday.
"So, some of us, ACTION, were also invited to VISION (Indonesian Voice Vibration), then there is the LMKN Commissioner (National Collective Management Institute (LMKN), if LMK (Collective Management Institute) does not exist, LMKN only, and some from the Ministry of Law," he added.
From the ACTION, said Piyu, there will be about three to four people who will be included in the formulating team for the revision of the Copyright Law. However, it is not certain who will be proposed.
Earlier it was mentioned that between three and four members of the ACTION became a formulating team. We are still compiling it, because we have to commit, because every Wednesday if I'm not mistaken we meet, we have a meeting for that," he said.

In addition, the RDP also discussed various problems related to copyrighting songs/music.
In this case, ACTION is still committed to fighting for the need for permission to use songs in music concerts.
"What we emphasize again, we emphasize again, before entering into the discussion and formulation of the revision of the Copyright Law, that what is important is that there is chaos, there is commotion, rowdy noise, because there has not been the fulfillment of copyright from songwriters," said Piyu.
"Because so far the royalty fulfillment system carried out for a performance is usually carried out after the event, so there is no such thing as permission from the creator or permission from the copyright owner," he said.
