Fuel Supply In Shell And BP Blank, Bahlil: Pertamina Will Be Strengthened
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia opened his voice regarding the vacancy of fuel oil (BBM) at private gas stations such as BP-AKR and Shell.
According to Bahlil, actually all private gas stations have received a larger fuel import quota compared to 2024. He detailed that private gas stations were given the same quota as in 2024 but added 10 percent.
"I want to say that all of these private companies have received the same import quota as 2024, plus 10 percent." he continued.
Bahlil then said that actually fuel is a commodity that involves the livelihoods of many people as stated in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.
"And I want to say that the lives of many people are controlled by the state. So Pertamina will be strengthened. We will strengthen," said Bahlil.
Separately, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Yuliot Tanjung, said the government had granted import permits for fuel for private gas station service providers.
Yuliot also dismissed the assumption that the government did not issue an import permit.
"Not (import restrictions)," he said.
According to Yuliot, he will check the import permit to the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources because the right to grant permits is under the authority of the directorate.

Di sisi lain, Yuliot juga memastikan Kementerian ESDM telah meakukan evaluasi secara menyeluruh terhadap pasokan BBM dalam negeri sepanjang tahun 2025.
Menruutnya, permintaan BBM pada Februari yang lalu cukup tinggi.
"Jadi kan lonjakan kemarin itu kan cukup tinggi. Itu kan sebenarnya kan kita ada batasan kuota waktu itu," jelas dia.
Namun, Yuliot memastikan, Kementerian ESDM telah melakukan koordinasi dan pembahasan dengan Kementerian Keuangan dan Kementerian Perdagangan.
"Saya juga sudah koordinasikan dengan teman-teman di Kementerian Perdagangan, di Kementerian Keuangan, ya bagaimana untuk kebutuhan energi, khususnya BBM itu bisa terpenuhi secara keseluruhan. Jadi ini kita lagi diselesaikan," tandas dia.

On the other hand, Yuliot also ensured that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources had carried out a comprehensive evaluation of domestic fuel supply throughout 2025.
According to him, the demand for fuel in February was quite high.
"So yesterday's spike was quite high. That's actually we have a quota limit at that time," he explained.
However, Yuliot ensured that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources had coordinated and discussed with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade.
"I have also coordinated with friends at the Ministry of Trade, at the Ministry of Finance, yes, how for energy needs, especially fuel, can be fulfilled as a whole. So we are still finalizing this," he said.
