Anthropic Launches AI Agent Claude For Chrome
JAKARTA Anthropic launched a browser-based research preview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents. This agent named Claude for Chome is supported by the company-made AI model, namely Claude.
In this preview version, launches are carried out on a limited basis for Max Anthropic package customers. There are 1,000 subscribers registered in the package for $100 (Rp1.6 million) to $200 (Rp3.2 million) per month.
The company has also opened a waiting list for other interested users to try. It is not yet known when users on the waiting list will get the opportunity to try this Claude for Chome. However, Anthropic promises to expand this feature in the future.
"We will expand access gradually as we develop stricter security measures and build trust through this limited preview," Anthropic said, quoted through its official website on Wednesday, August 27.
Basically, this AI agent works as Claude's extension to Chrome. With this capability, users can chat with Claude from the browser side window. This makes it easier for users to access AI.
Users no longer need to exit or open additional applications just to ask simple questions. In addition, users can save the context of all activities in the browser.

As a precautionary measure, users can limit Claude's access to certain sites. In addition, this agent will always ask for permission before taking high-risk measures such as buying or sharing personal data.
