In addition to appearing at home, the U-16 Women's National Team is also motivated to make more history in this tournament.
In the previous three participations, Garuda Pertiwi had never passed the group stage (2009, 2017, and 2018). Meanwhile, in the 2019 edition, the Indonesian Women's National Team did not take part.
This means that the journey to the semifinals in the 2025 edition has become a separate history. However, they do not want to stop in the top four.
Timo Scheunemann's troops want to enter the inaugural top of the U-16 Women's AFF Cup. In fact, they are also eyeing the first title.
So far, Thailand has been the most successful team with three titles in three recent editions. Australia obtained one remaining trophy in the first edition of 2009.
