The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Calls Elvizar, A Former Boss Of PT Pasifik Cipta Solusi, A Corruption Suspect In The Procurement Of EDC Machines

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined three witnesses regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of EDC machines at the state-owned bank today, August 27. One of them is Elvizar as the former President Director of PT Pasifik Cipta Solusi who has been named a suspect in this case.

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, August 27.

Apart from Elvizar, investigators also scheduled an examination of Budy Setiawan who is a private employee and Aris Hartanto as Director of BRI Life. Budi has not yet detailed the examination material that will be investigated, but the statements of the three are needed.

"The KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses suspected of corruption related to the procurement of EDC machines," he said.

For information, Elvizar is not only a suspect in this case. He was also dragged into the vortex of the PT Pertamina public gas station digitization project (SPBU) along with two other people.

However, Elvizar's status in this case has not been officially conveyed by the KPK.

Elvizar is called the acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu as a broker in these two different cases. He got a profit from his role, but on the one hand, it made him expensive to pay, resulting in state losses.

"The mode is the same. So the goods that Pertamina and the state-owned bank should be able to go directly to the principal, can go directly to the first provider, he (Elvizar, ed) is in the middle," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 14.

"Even though he didn't give added value, he didn't add added value but he got some money," he continued.

As a result of Elvizar's role, Asep said, the process of procuring EDC and digitizing PT Pertamina's gas stations has become increasingly expensive. Because, the process is not direct with the first party providing the service.

"If only the user, both Pertamina and the state-owned bank, went directly to the first party, then the price would be cheaper, so this is an increase in prices. This is in the middle," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK announced five suspects in alleged corruption in the procurement of EDC machines. They are Catur Budi Harto who is the former Deputy Director of a state-owned bank; Indra Utoyo who is the former Director of Information Technology Digital (ICT) and Operations of the same state-owned bank; and Dedi Sunardi who is the SEVP Management of Activators and Procurement.

Meanwhile, the private sector designated is Elvizar, who is the former Director of PT Pacific Cipta Solusi and Rudi Suprayudi from PT Bringin Inti Teknologi. Even so, the five of them have not been detained.

The procurement of EDC machines at one of the state-owned banks in the 2020-2024 period used a broken and rental purchase scheme. The amount of procurement of EDC machines in the buy and break scheme for the 2020-2023 period reached 346,838 units with a budget of Rp942,794,220,000.

Meanwhile, the rental scheme was carried out twice, namely in 2020 for three years at once until 2023 and 2023 for the extension of 2024-2026. The total budget reached IDR 1,258,550,510,487 with a total EDC for merchant needs of 200,067 units.

The scheme for buying and selling state losses reached Rp241,065,269,129. As for the rental scheme, the state lost up to Rp503,475,105,185.
