RDF Rorotan Ready To Operate After Repair, DKI Provincial Government Please Inaugurate Prabowo

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (LH) Asep Kuswanto said that the waste processing facility into alternative energy, namely Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant Rorotan, North Jakarta, is ready to operate.

Asep revealed that the RDF Plant Rorotan will be inaugurated next month. Now, the DKI Provincial Government has fixed the problem of defamation of the smell of garbage that was protested by residents.

"I report to the Governor that it has been completed. Hopefully, after September 24, we are ready to make the inauguration," Asep told reporters, Wednesday, August 27.

Pramono, according to Asep, wants the second RDF Plant owned by the DKI Provincial Government to be inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Hopefully in the near future the Governor will go to Rorotan, then after that the Governor will convey to the President it seems, will the President be ready to inaugurate," explained Asep.

In the next month, the DKI Provincial Government will finalize the installation process to commissioning RDF Plant while adding the components needed. This is done to ensure that this waste processing facility is able to reduce the foul smell so that it no longer disturbs residents.

"Alhamdulillah, it's safe, it's safe. With the surrounding community it's also safe. So indeed, now our strategy is waste around Cakung-cilincing sub-district, We prioritize it for commissioning," he explained.
