Bojan Hodak Opens His Voice About Thom Haye Rumors Meeting Persib

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team player, Thom Haye, is still without a club. However, recently he was rumored to be part of Persib Bandung. Related to that, Bojan Hodak as the coach opened his voice.

Asked about Haye's closeness to Persib Bandung, Bojan Hodak admitted that he did not know anything.

"I don't know, to be honest I'm not sure. I think you're asking about a new player. However, I don't know if you asked Thom Haye," Bojan Hodak said in response to reporters' questions as quoted in a statement Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Even though he admitted that he did not know about Haye's closeness to Persib, Hodak opened up the opportunity that Maung Bandung would indeed bring in new players.

Related to this, he even joked about continuing to monitor the club's official website where there would always be new news to be shared.

"Maybe there will be some new players, just follow Persib.co.id. I'm sure there will be (information). Yes, just get ready (for new players), maybe again on the plane."

"If you ask foreign players or new players, there could be. Maybe foreigners may be local. Just monitor Persib.co.id," said Hodak.

Thom Haye is indeed one of the naturalization players of the Indonesian national team who until now has not owned a club after parting ways with Almere City, the Eredivisie club he defended last season.

However, Thom Haye still has a chance to join other Eredivisie clubs until the deadline for the transfer market is closed on September 1, 2025.

So far, rumors of the 30-year-old transfer involve Eredivisie teams, such as NAC Breda and Fortuna Sittard.

Thom Haye has also been linked with Indonesian club Persija Jakarta. However, the player who graduated from AZ Alkmaar never agreed until the 2025/2026 Super League rolled out.
