Prabowo's Message: Doctors Must Get Enough Rest, So Patient Surgery Doesn't Fail
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto advised doctors to have sufficient rest so that they can make the right decisions, especially during the operation of patients.
President Prabowo when inaugurating the Integrated Service Building and the National Neuroscience Institute of the National Brain Center Hospital (PON Hospital) Mahar Mardjono in Jakarta, Tuesday, said ministers in the Red and White Cabinet work up to seven days a week, even on the red date. However, the President will give you a break before making a decision.
"I will give you enough time to rest. Because what we need from you is leadership management, the best decision. Best decision means you have to be in a fresh condition, especially if the doctor is not fresh, the operation will not be good. So doctors must also get enough rest," said President Prabowo.
In his remarks, the President advised the hospital head that doctors should be given sufficient time to rest.
The inauguration of the Integrated Service Building and the National Institute of Neuroscience at the Mahar Mardjono National Brain Center Hospital (RSPON) marks an increase in brain health services in Indonesia, which focuses not only on medical services, but also education and research.
President Prabowo emphasized that this hospital has a strategic role in producing neuroscientist as well as a leading research center.
President Prabowo also admitted that he was impressed by the development of facilities and the quality of medical personnel at the RSPON which he saw during the review before the inauguration ceremony. The Head of State emphasized that this hospital is not inferior to the best health center in the world.
"I was traveling around, I see this hospital is now physically, and in terms of tools, and specialistly experts, I have seen no less than the best hospitals abroad," said the President.
The integrated service building presents an increase in service capacity by adding 254 patient beds, operating rooms, laboratories, and state-of-the-art MRI examination facilities. In addition, this building will also be equipped with a more and wider superior neurorestoration examination.
For this increase, the President also appreciated the ability of RSPON which has mastered high technology in the field of neuromedicine, ranging from brain tumor surgery to therapy for degenerative diseases.

Also attending the event were the Dutch Ambassador to Indonesia Marc Gerritsen, the ministers of the Red and White cabinet, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung, and the President Director of PON Mahar Mardjono Hospital, dr. Adin Nurkhasanah.
