JAKARTA PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) reported that it had distributed loans to MSMEs amounting to Rp1,137.84 trillion.

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi detailed that BRI's lending grew 6.0 percent year on year to Rp1,416.6 trillion. Of the total credit disbursed, the MSME segment took a portion of 80.32 percent or equivalent to Rp1,137.84 trillion.

"This is a form of partiality to strengthening the economy from the grassroot level," explained Hery Gunardi, Tuesday, August 26.

In addition, in Semester I of 2025, BRI distributed People's Business Credit (KUR) worth IDR 83.88 trillion to 1.8 million debtors, including MSMEs that supply the government's Free Nutrition Food program.

"BRI is also active in distributing Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) worth IDR 13.35 trillion to 97,878 low-income people, as well as supporting national strategic programs such as the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) through assistance, financing, and digital solutions such as Qlola by BRI," he said.

In terms of financial inclusion, Hery continued that the presence of the Agent BRILink network of 1.2 million agents was also able to reach more than 67,000 villages, with transaction volume reaching Rp843 trillion in the first half of this year.

BRILink's agent has now evolved into a lifestyle micro provider, which not only facilitates transactions, but also encourages local economic activity.

In addition, the BRILiaN Village and My Life Cluster programs also continue to grow, with 4,625 fostered villages and 41,217 productive business clusters formed.

Through the LinkUMKM platform, BRI has connected more than 12.9 million business actors with markets and business partners, while 54 BRI-run BUMN houses have organized more than 16,000 training to increase the capacity of MSMEs.

"We want to ensure that MSMEs not only survive, but also advance to class through comprehensive support, ranging from access to capital, assistance, to digitization. Through this integrated strategy, BRI is optimistic that it can continue to be the main partner of MSMEs throughout Indonesia, expand financial inclusion, and drive national economic growth in a sustainable manner," concluded Hery.
