Reviewing Cross Java, KAI's Managing Director: Priority Safety
JAKARTA - KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin conducted a cross-Java inspection using the Inspection Train (KAIS). This activity aims to ensure the readiness of railway facilities and infrastructure, as well as evaluate the quality of services in all Javanese routes.
Also attending the event were the Board of Directors and Commissioners of the new KAI. This inspection activity will be carried out from today, August 26 to August 28.
Bobby said this inspection activity is important considering that changing weather conditions can affect the smooth operation.
"Customers' safety is a top priority. Through this inspection, KAI wants to ensure that all operational aspects start from facilities, infrastructure, to the readiness of officers to go optimal so that people still feel safe and comfortable when traveling by train," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, August 26.
On the first day, the inspection group traveled across southern Java on the Bandung-Kroya-Purwokerto-Yogyakarta-Madiun-Surabaya Gubeng route. The second day was continued via the northern route of Java with the Jember-Surabaya Pasarturi-Semarang Tawang-Cirebon-Cikampek-Jakarta Gambir route.
Throughout the trip, the team checked directly on the readiness of the lane, the signal system, station facilities, the readiness of officers in the field, and heard input from customers who were met on the trip.
In addition to technical inspections, the Board of Directors also provides guidance to officers at cross-travel. Special directions are conveyed so that all KAI employees always prioritize safety, professionalism, and hospitality in serving the community.
"In addition to ensuring that infrastructure is in prime condition, we also want to hear directly the aspirations of customers and motivate officers in the field. All of this is part of KAI's efforts to provide better services," added Bobby.
