Police Say Dwi Hartono Paid IDR 45 Million for Kidnapping Bank Branch Manager Ilham Pradipta

JAKARTA - Businessman and motivational speaker Dwi Hartono is one of the intellectuals behind the kidnapping and murder of Mohamad Ilham Pradipta, the Branch Manager of a State-Owned Bank. Preliminary investigations revealed that Dwi Hartono paid IDR 45 million for his services in kidnapping the victim.

"The kidnapper received IDR 45 million, DH's money," said Head of the Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigations at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, AKBP Abdul Rahim, to VOI on Tuesday, August 26.

According to developments in the case, there were four kidnappers with the initials AT, RS, RAH, and RW, also known as Eras. They carried out the act while Mohamad Ilham Pradipta was in a supermarket parking lot in the Ciracas area, East Jakarta, on August 20.

With this role revealed, police have named Dwi Hartono as the intellectual behind the kidnapping and murder.

"One of them has the initials DH," Abdul said.

Based on information gathered, Dwi Hartono has a background as an entrepreneur. He is also a well-known motivational speaker on social media.

For your information, in handling this case, the police have arrested eight suspects. Four acted as kidnappers, and the rest acted as intellectual actors.

The intellectual actor suspects are Dwi Hartono, YJ, C, and AA. They were arrested at different locations.

Dwi Hartono, J, and A were arrested in Solo, Central Java, on Saturday evening, August 23, 2025. Meanwhile, the perpetrator with the initials C was arrested in the PIK area of ​​North Jakarta on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Meanwhile, the other four acted as kidnappers. Their initials are AT, RS, RAH, and RW, also known as Eras.

Suspects AT, RS, and RAH were arrested on Jalan Johar Baru III, Central Jakarta.

Meanwhile, suspect RW alias Eras was arrested when he landed at Komodo Labuan Bajo International Airport, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to escape on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 12.55 WITA.
