Wanting Jakarta To Give An Example, Cak Imin: National Sacrificial Animal Management Is Worrying

Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) visited DKI Jakarta City Hall to meet DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.

The purpose of Cak Imin's arrival is to discuss the management of sacrificial animals every Eid al-Adha. According to Cak Imin, the DKI Provincial Government is good enough in managing sacrificial animals to be slaughtered.

"DKI has the potential for managing sacrificial animals, the Muslim community is very strong. The Governor, DKI can be a pilot for managing sacrificial animals with international standards, international standards halal," said Cak Imin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, August 26.

Therefore, Cak Imin wants the management of sacrificial animals in Jakarta to be an example to be imitated in other areas. Because, according to him, the handling of sacrificial animals in many regions in Indonesia has not met the standards.

"The management of sacrificial animals nationally is concerning, does not have standards of quality handling and management with health standards, animal standards, with adequate meat quality standards," he said.

"(Jakarta) will become a national model," he added.

Later, the central government will create programs that contain standards for handling and managing sacrificial animals per Eid al-Adha so that they can be applied uniformly in all regions.

"The local government has a repaired animal slaughter center, then we hope that the local government will make as many slaughterhouses as possible and help mosques use the governance of healthy halal sacrificial animal slaughter," he said.

Pramono, according to Cak Imin, has been willing to assist the central government in setting an example of managing sacrificial animals.

"We have extraordinary economic potential management, healthily. Easy, but the government doesn't spend too much money in this regard, just a little," he concluded.
