24 Tons Of Subdition Pupuk From Lampung Arrested By The Babel Police, 2 Truck Drivers Become Suspects
JAKARTA - The Regional Police of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Polda Babel) secured two trucks loaded with 24 tons of subsidized fertilizer which were allegedly misused to be resold to the community at high prices.
"Currently, the evidence and two suspects, Ro (33) and Bu (36), have been secured," said Head of Public Relations of the Babel Police, Kombes Pol Fauzan Sukmawansyah in Pangkalpinang, Tuesday, confiscated by Antara.
He said 24 tons of subsidized fertilizer from Lampung Province to be traded again in the Bangka Belitung Islands was secured at the intersection of Jalan Koba, Central Bangka Regency, August 20.
The results of the demolition were found in the two trucks, each truck loaded with 240 sacks, bringing the total secured subsidy fertilizer to 480 sacks weighing 24 tons, then the police examined the suspect.
"Currently, the evidence has been secured by Sub-Directorate I Indagsi of the Babel Islands Ditreskrimsus, including the two truck drivers, namely Ro (33) and Bu (36) have also been named suspects based on the results of the case title (25/8)," he said.
He stated that the mode used by the suspects was suspected that the perpetrators would sell this subsidized fertilizer at a higher price to farmers in the Bangka Belitung Islands.
"The suspect's confession was that this subsidized fertilizer was purchased in Lampung at a price of Rp. 180 thousand per sack and then resold to Bangka Belitung for Rp. 200 thousand per sack," he said.

He stated that the suspects in the misuse of subsidized fertilizers were charged with Article 6 paragraph (1) letters a and/or b in conjunction with Article 1 Sub 1e letter a and/or b of the Indonesian Emergency Law No. 7 of 1955 concerning Investigation, Prosecution and Justice of Economic Crimes.
Furthermore, Article 59 of the Minister of Agriculture Number 15 of 2025 concerning the Implementation Regulation of Presidential Decree Number 6 of 2025 concerning Governance of Subsidized Fertilizers in conjunction with Article 34 paragraph (3) of the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Procurement of Subsidized Fertilizers for the Agricultural Sector Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) to -1 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 6 years or 2 years in prison.
"This is a form of commitment from the Babel Police Chief Inspector General Pol Hendro Pandowo to continue to enforce strict law against perpetrators of criminal acts in this area," he said.
