The 13th Asian Cup Woodball Championship 2025 Flood Of Praise

The implementation of the 13th Asian Cup Woodball Championship 2025 and 7th AICE Indonesia Open 2025 at JSI Resort, Bogor, was successful and flooded with praise from various international delegates.

Indonesia not only appears as a friendly and professional host, but also records extraordinary achievements by sweeping the overall title in these two prestigious events.

The chairman of the Organizing Committee, Fendi Jonathan, expressed his appreciation that came from foreign participants as proof that Indonesia was able to present high standards in organizing international sports.

"We are very grateful that many foreign delegates gave praise, not only about the implementation they scored tremendously, but also the hospitality of the hosts and the brilliant appearance of Indonesian athletes. This confirms that in Indonesia woodball has grown well," said Fendi, who is also the Secretary General of the Indonesia Woodball Association (IWbA).

He added that the challenges of the field as well as a series of events from opening to closing became a memorable experience for the participants.

"They really enjoy, from challenging field conditions to the excitement of the opening and closing ceremonies which they think are rarely found in other tournaments. In fact, they appreciate every detail of the events we make," he said.

President of the International Woodball Federation (IWbF), Sean Chi-Hsiang Weng, also expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's success in organizing the championship with great fanfare and professionalism.

"Indonesia has shown extraordinary capacity as the host. The lively implementation, challenging terrain, and warm atmosphere make the 2025 Asian Cup in Bogor one of the best I have ever witnessed," said Sean.

Indonesia's achievements are increasingly complete with the success of winning the overall champion in the Asian Cup with 12 gold, 10 silver, and seven bronze.

Meanwhile, at the 7th AICE Indonesia Open 2025, Red-White athletes also dominated by buying gold medals in all the numbers they participated in. Even in several categories, Indonesia has successfully wiped out gold, silver, and bronze at once.

Chairman of the Indonesia Woodball Association (IWbA), Aang Sunadji, said that this success is not only an achievement, but also a reflection of the development of the strength of woodball in the country.

"Indonesia has succeeded in becoming the overall champion in the Asian Cup and Indonesia Open. Interestingly, not only the national team, but also athletes from the province who are able to show off."

"This shows the equitable distribution of quality and the tighter competition in the country. In the future, we don't even have to go far to find a sparring partner abroad," said Aang.

At the close of the championship, the host flag was officially handed over to China Taipei which will host the next Asian Cup in 2027.

Aang emphasized that Indonesia is ready to share experiences with other countries that want to adopt implementation standards such as in Bogor.

"I am very happy to see China Taipei selected. In essence, the measure of success in a tournament is how the match went smoothly and quality."

"The rest, the ceremony is only a complement. Many delegates from other countries' woodball make Indonesia's excitement a benchmark. They are shocked, but in a positive sense, and very happy with the hospitality we provide."

"Indonesia is open, whenever needed, we are ready to share. We will not hide knowledge," said Aang.
