Today Rain Again! BMKG: From Sumatra To Papua Potentially Wet

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most parts of Indonesia have the potential to rain with light intensity and lightning on Tuesday, August 26.

BMKG Indah forecasters said that a number of areas have the potential to experience light rain, including Medan, North Sumatra; Padang, West Sumatra; Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands; Bengkulu; Palembang, South Sumatra; Bandar Lampung, Lampung; and Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.

"Next is Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan; Samarinda, East Kalimantan; Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan; Makassar, South Sulawesi; Mamuju, West Sulawesi; Palu, Central Sulawesi; Gorontalo; Manado, North Sulawesi; Ambon, Maluku; Ternate, North Maluku," said Indah, quoted by ANTARA.

In addition, he continued, light rain also has the potential to occur in Sorong, Southwest Papua; Manokwari, West Papua; Jayapura, Papua; Jayawijaya, Papua Mountains; and Merauke, South Papua.

Meanwhile, rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Pekanbaru, Riau; and Tanjung Selor, North Kalimantan.

The thick cloudy conditions are predicted to include Banda Aceh, Aceh; Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands; Serang, Banten; Bandung, West Java; Semarang, Central Java; Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara; and Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. Meanwhile, cloudy weather is expected in Jakarta; Yogyakarta, DI Yogyakarta; Denpasar, Bali; and Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

In addition, the potential for air to run away or runny is thought to hit Jambi, Sumatra; Surabaya, East Java; and Nabire, Central Papua.
