Alexanders Zwiers Officially Introduced As New Director Of PSSI

JAKARTA - PSSI officially introduced a new Technical Director (Dirtek). He is Alexander Zwiers. The man from the Netherlands was introduced on Monday, August 25, 2025, WIB night.

The presence of Alexanders Zwiers will replace the role previously carried out by the Acting Director of Engineering PSSI, Indra Sjafri.

For the new trust and responsibility given to him, Zwiers admitted that he was not burdened and instead happy to be working with PSSI to build Indonesian football.

"I thank you for this opportunity and trust in me. This is a new task full of challenges," said Alexanders Zwiers during a speech at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, August 25, 2025, evening WIB.

Acting as PSSI Director of Technology, there are several important responsibilities that will be carried out, including designing game philosophy, supervising the development of young players and coaches, and coordinating various sports departments, including medical and data analysis.

The presence of the new PSSI Directorate is also expected to bring significant changes in the development structure of Indonesian football. Zwiers must be able to pay more attention to the development of young players who are the backbone of the future of the Indonesian National Team (Timnas).

Moreover, the main task of the PSSI Directorate of Technology is to develop and implement long-term vision for the Indonesian national team.
