After Just Two Court Hearings, Pratama Arhan Officially Divorces Azizah Salsha

JAKARTA - Tigaraksa Religious Court spokesperson Sholahuddin stated that footballer Pratama Arhan and Azizah Salsha have officially divorced. Their divorce was decided by default, meaning without the presence of the defendant, Azizah Salsha.

"The divorce has been decided without the presence of the defendant," said Tigaraksa Religious Court spokesperson Sholahuddin on Monday, August 25.

After the default divorce decision, Pratama Arhan's family is now awaiting the reading of the divorce vows so that the decision can become legally binding.

"Not yet. This has only been granted for the reading of the vows. A divorce by default means there will be a pronouncement of the vows, which is one of the executions. He will then be permitted to pronounce the divorce vows. So not yet. There is still 14 days to file an objection," Sholahuddin explained.

"There will be a summons later. If he doesn't file an objection, there will be a BHT (legal notice), which will be legally binding, and then the date for the oath hearing will be determined," he continued.

During the trial, Pratama Arhan was only represented by his attorney because he is still abroad.

"Yes, it was his attorney. At the first trial, it was his attorney, and at the second trial, he was also his attorney because he was abroad playing football there. The panel of judges said so, and we just confirmed it earlier," said Sholahuddin.

Sholahuddin explained that Pratama Arhan's divorce application was filed on August 1st and has already been held two hearings without Azizah Salsha present.

"Yes. Coincidentally, we confirmed it with the panel earlier. In our register, it is registered on August 1st. The first hearing was on the 11th, and today is the second hearing," Sholahuddin explained.
