Files For Naturalization Of Miliano Jonathans And Mauro Zijlstra Are Already In The DPR, It Is Hoped That They Will Be Completed Soon

JAKARTA - The naturalization files for the Miliano Jonathans and Mauro Zijlstra have arrived at the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR).

This was revealed by a member of the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco), Arya Sinulingga, who also hopes that the process can be completed soon. According to Arya's confession, the naturalization of the two will continue at the beginning of this week.

"Now the position (of the Naturalization file) is in the DPR. So, yesterday from the Menpora, then also the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Minister of Law) Pak Suparman (Andi Agtas), to the Minister of State Secretary, after that it has been sent to the President. The President has sent yesterday to the DPR."

"Hopefully within one day, two days, in the future, DPR friends have received all the letters, hopefully the process will be processed. If it is on schedule, hopefully as soon as possible," said Arya Sinulingga in a statement quoted Monday, August 25, 2025.

Arya also said that Zijlstra's 20 year old chance to strengthen the U-23 Indonesian national team in the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers had disappeared. This is because the player registration for the agenda has been closed.

"Mauro for (The U-23 Indonesian National Team) doesn't seem to be able to do it anymore. Because it's closed, right. Registration for D-10 (match) must enter the AFC."

"Actually, Mauro has been processed first. However, if you do it many times, it will be difficult, yes. So, we are just together," said Arya about why Zijlstra and Miliano Jonathans were naturalized simultaneously.
