Prabowo Era, Number Of Honorary Mark Recipients Increased 2 Times

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has awarded 141 recipients of this year's service and honor, a nearly double increase compared to 64 recipients in the previous year.

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo assessed that the state was still lacking in paying tribute to various individuals who were actually entitled.

"President Prabowo assesses that so far the country has not paid much respect, because of the 141 award recipients this year, many of them have never previously received awards from the state," he said.

Prasetyo explained, the President is thinking of giving titles and honors to the nation's best sons and daughters from across fields and professions is something that must be used as a kind of tradition.

"Mr. President really wants to give awards to the best sons and daughters of the nation who excel and carry out their duties in their fields that exceed the call of duty," he said.

Prasetyo explained, this tradition of awarding awards needs to be maintained because so far there are still many figures who have contributed, but have never received respect from the state.

According to him, this year's recipients come from various backgrounds, ranging from humanity, culture, environment, health, to vaccine research and discovery.

Meanwhile, out of a total of 141 recipients, only 117 were read out during the procession which took place at the State Palace, Jakarta.

According to Prasetyo, this was because some recipients were unable to attend for a number of special reasons.

"So, there are some who really apologize, confirm because of limitations, there are physical obstacles, for example they cannot attend. So, the number is reduced, not that the sign of service is reduced, no," said Prasetyo.

In the Prabowo Era, the number of recipients of honors doubled

He said other momentum such as the TNI Anniversary in October or Heroes' Day on November 10 could be a further opportunity to award those who have not attended.

"There is also nothing wrong with that, if later those who have not had the opportunity to attend today, they can be scheduled for the next honorary acceptance," he said.

The Presidential Secretariat website informs that in a similar procession on August 14, 2024, the government will award the honor of the Republic of Indonesia in the form of the Kepeoporan Medal, Honorary Sign of the Star of the Republic of Indonesia Utama, Mahaputera Star, Jasa Star, and Parama Dharma Cultural Star to 64 figures.

This number increased this year to 141 recipients of Certificates and Honors from President Prabowo to parties from various backgrounds, including ministers, police, press figures, and cultural observers who were judged by the Council of Titles, Services, and Honorary Signs had a tremendous contribution to the country.

A number of award recipients were present at the State Palace. Meanwhile, the late award recipients were represented by the heirs.
